Oak and veneer sideboard
Bleu Jeans Bleu
History
Obviously the original piece of furniture needed some love, but the wood was in very good condition… So the result could only be remarkable! All the beauty of the wood shines through as much for its golden-brown stained top as the body of the furniture with a blue jeans wiped paint and its velvety finish. The sides of the drawers reveal stenciled details on a natural wood background... Magic!
Re-creation process
Stripping by soda blasting, top stained and varnished with American Colonial and Treated Wood mixture, body of the furniture with layers of Nautical blue and Cape Current wiped. Finished with natural beeswax and accented with black wax. New knobs.
Maintenance
Dust once a week with a soft cloth
• If needed, wash with a cloth dampened with an equal solution of mild soap such as dish soap and water
The entire piece of furniture except for the top:
• Once a year, apply a thin layer of beeswax in small sections and polish with a soft cloth
